Words from a missionary

"When coupled together, the two words eat & bitterness implies the
ability to endure hardship as if you are eating a mouthful of bitterness. As I
heard my ________ brothers & sisters talk about my ability to '吃苦' for
the sake of the Gospel, I was humbled. What do I know about enduring hardship?
Sitting next to me were brothers who have been persecuted & interrogated for
their decision to follow Jesus Christ. How could I be anything but humbled."
